Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1986, Sweden's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 3.0% compared to 1985, reaching 313,202.

Sweden ranks 7th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.9% (from 263,340 in 1981).
