In 2023, the EU-27 figure for life expectancy at birth by sex was 168.0%.

That is a 0.8% rose versus 2022 (166.6%).

Over the five years before that, the EU-27 aggregate moved 0.4% higher.

Across member states, Spain reported the highest value (173.4%, 2023) and Bulgaria the lowest (159.4%, 2023).
