In 2025, the EU-27 figure for unemployment by sex and age was 6.0%.

That is a 1.7% rose versus 2024 (5.9%).

Over the five years before that, the EU-27 aggregate moved 16.7% lower.

Across member states, Spain reported the highest value (10.5%, 2025) and Czechia the lowest (2.8%, 2025) — a ratio of 3.8× between the two ends of the range.
