At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.0% compared to 2020, reaching 15.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.8% (from 14.6% in 2016).
