At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.9% compared to 2022, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.9% (from 15.2% in 2018).
