In 2023, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.5% compared to 2022, reaching 14.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.
Hungary ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.1% (from 13.6% in 2018).
