At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.9% compared to 2021, reaching 14.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.6%.

Austria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.7% (from 13.5% in 2017).
