At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.6% compared to 2024, reaching 14.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Austria ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.6% (from 13.6% in 2020).
