In 2025, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.1% compared to 2024, reaching 15.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Germany ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.0% (from 15.3% in 2020).
