At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.5% compared to 2023, reaching 13.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Austria ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.7% (from 12.3% in 2019).
