In 2014, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 3.7% compared to 2013, reaching 148,263.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.1% (from 170,683 in 2009).
