In 2014, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 2.6% compared to 2013, reaching 1,322,144.

Germany ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.0% (from 1,308,687 in 2009).
