In 2018, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 9.8% compared to 2017, reaching 118,802.

Austria ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.9% (from 154,002 in 2013).
