In 2022, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 32.7% compared to 2021, reaching 97,139.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 26.3% (from 131,717 in 2017).
