In 2023, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 13.6% compared to 2022, reaching 110,359.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.1% (from 118,802 in 2018).
