In 2021, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 19.9% compared to 2020, reaching 15,089.

Austria ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.2% (from 13,103 in 2016).
