In 2022, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 45.6% compared to 2021, reaching 21,974.

Austria ranks 2nd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 589.5% (from 3,187 in 2017).
