In 2022, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 52.6% compared to 2021, reaching 5,892.

Hungary ranks 9th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.2% (from 5,069 in 2017).
