In 2014, Austria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 3.6% compared to 2013, reaching 85,487.

Austria ranks 7th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.4% (from 107,407 in 2009).
