In 2014, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 2.0% compared to 2013, reaching 446,073.

Germany ranks 1st out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.4% (from 386,647 in 2009).
