At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.7% compared to 2019, reaching 14.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.4% (from 14.9% in 2015).
