At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2008, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.8% compared to 2007, reaching 21.2%.

Belgium ranks 13th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.6% (from 22.0% in 2003).
