At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2009, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.9% compared to 2008, reaching 21.6%.

Belgium ranks 8th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.3% (from 20.9% in 2004).
