At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 10.2% compared to 2009, reaching 19.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Belgium ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.3% (from 21.4% in 2005).
