At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.8% compared to 2018, reaching 15.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.0%.

Belgium ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.9% (from 16.1% in 2014).
