At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 19.6% compared to 2019, reaching 18.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Belgium ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.3% (from 15.2% in 2015).
