At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.1% compared to 2018, reaching 18.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.0%.

Germany ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.4% (from 16.3% in 2014).
