At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 20.1% compared to 2020, reaching 15.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Belgium ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 15.3% in 2016).
