At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 23.8% compared to 2024, reaching 9.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Belgium ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 50.8% (from 18.9% in 2020).
