Employment rates by citizenship

In 2007, Belgium's employment rates by citizenship increased by 2.4% compared to 2006, reaching 55.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 57.0%.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.2% (from 51.1% in 2002).
