Employment rates by citizenship

In 2020, Belgium's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.7% compared to 2019, reaching 68.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 72.8%.

Belgium ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 65.5% in 2015).
