Employment rates by citizenship

In 2019, Belgium's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.0% compared to 2018, reaching 68.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 73.8%.

Belgium ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.7% (from 65.8% in 2014).
