Fertility indicators

In 1986, Belgium's fertility indicators increased by 2.0% compared to 1985, reaching 1.54.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.2% (from 1.66 in 1981).
