Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2025, Belgium's employment rates by educational attainment level decreased by 0.2% compared to 2024, reaching 87.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 88.1%.

Belgium ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.7% (from 86.2% in 2020).
