Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Belgium's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 9.8% compared to 2015, reaching 20.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Belgium ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.4% (from 18.9% in 2011).
