Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Luxembourg's unemployment by sex and age increased by 9.2% compared to 2015, reaching 18.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Luxembourg ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.5% (from 16.8% in 2011).
