At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.7% compared to 2018, reaching 22.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.7% (from 21.8% in 2014).
