At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.3% compared to 2024, reaching 21.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.9% (from 23.8% in 2020).
