At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.2% compared to 2024, reaching 18.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Romania ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.4% (from 23.4% in 2020).
