At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.1% compared to 2012, reaching 27.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.3%.

Bulgaria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 17.5% (from 33.8% in 2008).
