At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2014, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 19.0% compared to 2013, reaching 22.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.2%.

Bulgaria ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 42.5% (from 39.3% in 2009).
