At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2013, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.2% compared to 2012, reaching 18.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.3%.

Belgium ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.2% (from 21.2% in 2008).
