At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.0% compared to 2017, reaching 23.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.4% (from 22.2% in 2013).
