At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2017, reaching 21.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Italy ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 20.3% in 2013).
