Employment rates by citizenship

In 2007, Bulgaria's employment rates by citizenship increased by 5.5% compared to 2006, reaching 57.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 57.0%.

Bulgaria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.5% (from 48.2% in 2002).
