Fertility indicators

In 1995, Bulgaria's fertility indicators decreased by 10.2% compared to 1994, reaching 1.23.

Bulgaria ranks 21st out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 32.4% (from 1.82 in 1990).
