Population structure indicators at national level

In 2006, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.7% compared to 2005, reaching 41.5.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 40.0.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.6% (from 39.3 in 2001).
