Population structure indicators at national level

In 2023, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2022, reaching 40.8.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 36.4.

Bulgaria ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.2% (from 36.7 in 2018).
