Population structure indicators at national level

In 2022, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.8% compared to 2021, reaching 40.4.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 36.0.

Bulgaria ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.8% (from 35.8 in 2017).
