Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2017, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 21.1% compared to 2016, reaching 16.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 48.4% (from 31.2% in 2012).
